Nusa dua resort area consist of hotels and restaurants produce solid waste every day. From that amount, leafs trash, grass, and tree twig reduce from garden maintenance, the rest is from kitchen of hotels and restaurants, and other department.

BTDC as the supervisor of the area has a solid waste disposal system that uses biotechnology system by adding effective microorganism to the collected trash. The trash that is being utilities are leaves and grass from the common area in Nusa Dua area and the out put is return to the common area as organic fertilizer.

The rest of the trash produces by hotels and restaurants are handles co-operatively by other company. This company than select the trash into its own category, trash from left-over food is turn into animal food, while the cans and bottles trash are s old to be recycled. The organic trashes from the selection are handled by the company and transform them into organic fertilizer that will be sold again to the hotel’s gardens. The rest of the trash that is totally useless will be sent to trash final disposal area in Suwung
