1.Materials should be considered for both their structural and aesthetic purposes and should give an impression of permanence and solidity. The use of local materials and brick are recommended, both for design as well as lower construction cost consideration.
2.The use of materials that are imitations of other materials or current fads shall be avoided. 3.Recommended exterior wall materials and finishes are concrete, left rough textured, bush hammered or from marked and painted; concrete block plastered; exposed brick or local stone left natural or in minor areas, wood boarding left natural or stained in brown. 4.No reflecting finishes or materials shall be permitted on exterior surfaces, other than glass. 5.Exterior colors should be predominately in shades of off-white in the brown or “earthy” tones. All colors should be subtle, although occasional spots of brighter colors may be used for special architectural features. |
