| Nusa Dua Beach Hotel and Spa Awarded as Best Culinary Team 2008 |

Nusa Dua Beach Hotel and Spa was again awarded Best Culinary Team for the fourth consecutive time during the culinary competition Salon Culinaire 2008, held biennially to assist and improve the standard of culinary fare on the Island. A number of experienced qualified World Association of Chefs Societies (WACS) certified judges were flown in to judge the competition, held in conjunction with the Food Hotel Tourism Bali, 28 February to 1 March, and organised by Bali Culinary Professionals (BCP) at Bali International Convention Center, Nusa Dua.
Nusa Dua Beach Hotel and Spa was all out with their 27-member kitchen team, registering 23 entries in 12 classes. As champion for four consecutive times, victory was in hand for the team. To qualify for the Best Culinary Organization Team, Nusa Dua Beach Hotel and Spa had to send at least four competitors participating in a total of no less than four different classes. They scored the highest points in their best four classes, making them Best Overall Culinary Team. The team also won three out of the five major trophies, namely Best Culinary Artist, Best Live Cooking, and Best Organization Team, beating the Bvlgary and The Ritz Carlton. The team leader was the executive chef of Nusa Dua Beach Hotel and Spa, Darren Lauder, his team members include I Nyoman Suparma, Ni Nyoman Wirati, Ni Wayan Sumiarti, I Gusti Agung Alit Subawa, I Ketut Suaryana, I Ketut Kaler, I Wayan Wiana, I Nyoman Sudiasa, I Nyoman Soma, Mas Ayu Arbila Utami, A.A. Muter Sulastri, A.A Astika, Sang Putu Tantra, Putu Koko Atmaja, I Made Didimus Wahana, I Gede Agus Sumadi Putra, I Made Dwi Mahardika, I Nyoman Wartana, Arie Utami Pratiwi, A.A Gege Alit, Oka Saputra, and Alexander Tanuhardja. Having just joined the culinary team at the Nusa Dua Beach Hotel and Spa, team captain and executive chef Darren Lauder commented: "This year was a big challenge for Nusa Dua Beach Hotel & Spa as lots of new and strong Hotels fought for the coveted title of Best Culinary Team".
