MRA Bali International Triathlon 2009 PDF Print E-mail
On the last 28th June 09 took place the 3rd Edition of MRA Bali International Triathlon 2009. This unique sport which combines running, swimming and cycling had challenged both individuals and groups. The Olympic distance Event consists of 1.5 km swim, 40 km bike and 10 km run.and started from Jimbaran beach at the Four Seasons Resort.
BTDC supports this event allowing the race to cross Nusa Dua area. The race starts from Intercontinental Bali => Jl. Raya Uluwatu => by Pass Ngurah Rai => Jl. Pintas Utara => orth Gate => front of Club Med => front of Nusa Dua Beach => front of the Westin => front of the Laguna and Melia => front of Inna Putri Bali => front of Ayodya Resort Bali and Novotel Nusa Dua => Bali Golf and Country Club => front of St. Regis and Amanusa => front of Nikko Bali => front of The Bale => front of The Grand Bali => Jl. Pintas Selatan Nusa Dua => Kampial => Puja Mandala => Ungasan => Pecatu => GWK =.> Kampus Udayana => Jl. Raya Uluwatu => finish at Intercontinental Bali Resort.

This year, 120 locals and internationals triathletes joined the race.  Concerning the individuals, the winners, the Australians Luke McKenzie (winner 2008) and Lady Michelle Ann Gailey, finished the loop (swim, run, bike) respectively in 2:10:15 and 2:36:39. Theses winners won a 6 day packages in Four Seasons in Jimbaran bay while the Indonesian Kadri Regar won an amount of IDR 5,000,000 for his best time score.
