1.The overall project has been masterplanned as a low-rise and low-density development, utilizing traditional Balinese architectural forms and design concepts set within generous “greenbelt” areas.
2.While if it understood that we are building a project in the “now” time and not in the 11th century, it is also felt that the operational problems of the individual hotels, as well as the guest’s circulation requirements, can be achieved by utilizing sound, basic principles of design and avoiding any use of “quasi-Balinese” or other design cliché. 3.The architectural character and composition of the structures should be varied horizontally and vertically to the site to provide individuality between the hotels without resorting to the solutions of others, so that the end result produces a grouping of structures within a “ family of design” and not duplication. |
